An invitation from the President and CEO

We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Anglican Schools Australia Conference

At a time of increasing complexity and change in education, politics and society, Anglican schools are called to be communities shaped by generosity, welcome and hope. Our Anglican Identity, grounded in tradition and practice, continues to provide a foundation of care, purpose and inspiration for students, staff and families. This conference offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and be renewed in our shared calling.

Conference Theme

Grace-full Hospitality: Anglican Schools as Expressions of God’s Generosity

The 2026 theme invites us to explore hospitality not simply as welcome, but as a lived expression of God’s grace. It challenges us to consider how generosity, belonging and faithfulness are intentionally embodied across the life of our schools: in leadership and governance, teaching and learning, pastoral care, worship and service.

As leaders and educators entrusted with shaping school communities, we are invited to reflect deeply on how Anglican Identity is lived in daily practice, and how our schools can continue to be places where grace is known and experienced.

Delegates

The conference will bring together close to 300 participants from over 160 Anglican schools across Australia, including principals,

chaplains, governors, senior staff, business managers, heads of department and religious studies educators. The Primate and many Archbishops and Bishops will also join us, enriching the conference through shared worship, reflection and conversation.

This national gathering offers a rare and valuable opportunity to learn alongside colleagues from across dioceses and provinces, strengthening relationships and shared understanding.

Program Highlights

Across three days, the program will combine:

  1. compelling keynote addresses from speakers including journalist, writer, radio and television presenter and theologian, Professor Stan Grant; and the world’s first woman Archbishop, the gracious and inspiring Archbishop of Perth, the Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy AO DD; returning by popular demand, the thought-provoking and incredibly engaging Mr Priyan Max Jeganathan; and leading child wellbeing through innovation and impact, CEO Ms Kim Brooklyn.
  2. twenty practical and dynamic workshop options; and
  3. opportunities for discussion, collaboration and collegial exchange

The program is designed to engage heart, mind and soul, equipping participants with renewed confidence and clarity to lead Anglican Identity with purpose in their local contexts.

Perth as Host

Set in the heart of Perth overlooking the Swan River, and on the Whadjuk Lands of the Noongar Nation’, the newly refurbished Pan Pacific Hotel offers an outstanding venue for learning, reflection and connection. With its fresh and comfortable facilities and proximity to the city’s landmarks, the location reflects the spirit of generous hospitality that sits at the heart of the conference theme.

Worship and Celebration

As Anglicans, we worship together. At the conference, workshop remains at the heart of our gathering. Our Conference Eucharist will be held on Friday evening at the beautiful St George’s Cathedral, followed by a Cathedral Reception across the road at the iconic Government House Ballroom.

The Welcome Reception brings an opportunity to connect with familiar faces and make new friends over drinks and canapes on Thursday evening at the Pan Pacific’s Grand River Ballroom, overlooking the Swan River. Come Saturday evening, the Grand River Ballroom will be completely transformed into the Conference Dinner venue, where hospitality will continue to shine and a few surprises will be in store!

We hope that you will join us at this wonderful opportunity to strengthen our shared commitment to Anglican education. We look forward to seeing you at the 2026 ASA Conference in Perth!
